2025 Challenge Quilt
“Oklahoma Route 66”
Country Fare Quilter’s Guild’s 2025 Challenge Quilt “Oklahoma Route 66” was created and machine quilted by guild member Ann Underwood with blocks previously made by various guild members during our 2024 Fabric Challenge. The quilt will be given away at our annual “Autumn Leaves” Quilt Show on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Tickets will be available at our guild meetings and at the quilt show.
2024 Fabric Challenge
Each year the guild issues a challenge to our members to create blocks using a chosen fabric(s) within a given theme. The completed blocks are displayed anonymously at our annual quilt show and voted on by the public. Viewer’s Choice ribbons are awarded accordingly. The guild’s Challenge Quilt for the following year is then created with the Fabric Challenge blocks.
The fabric challenge blocks for our 2024 “Oklahoma Route 66” theme were displayed for Viewer’s Choice voting at our “Autumn Leaves” 2024 Quilt Show in October:

2024 Challenge Quilt
Whitney Reed with “Star Struck”
Congratulations to Whitney Reed! She is the winner of Country Fare Quilter’s Guild’s 2024 Challenge Quilt. “Star Struck” was created by guild members Phyllis Stearnes and Richelle Helbig, using blocks previously made by various guild members during our 2023 Fabric Challenge. The quilt was professionally and beautifully machine quilted by Ann Olson. The lucky winner was selected at our annual “Autumn Leaves” Quilt Show on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
